Nice base layer or cool weather shirt, quick drying, understated handsome styling

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Versatile styling
  • Quick drying

Cons

  • None

The Ultra Stop 1/2 Zip is a great technical shirt. The material is pretty light but it's also substantial enough to make it a good base layer for cold weather.

So far I've used it mainly for running in cold weather and it is very comfortable (feels great next to the skin as a base layer), very handsome, and warm for it's weight. In addition, it's really quick-drying and wicks moisture well - take it off after a run and what moisture it does hold is dry in no time.

The thumb cuffs are a nice touch and the zip up collar helps cut the wind chill. Best of all, the shirt looks great when worn as casual wear. The cut isn't athletic, so it's not super tight, but it's also not oversized or baggy either.

All in all a worthy technical top that will also do double duty as somewhat sporty casual wear.
