Zamberlan 900 Rolle Evo 2 GTX
Excellent choice for a Perwanger leather upper, has a Hydrobloc material, is rugged and yet light. Sizing is critical, but the chart is reliable.
Pros
- Light
- Rugged
- Well-built
Cons
- Sizing is not as many other manufacturers, so check the chart carefully. Small calf might find this upper boot slightly large
- Get really cold, can't wear below 0°c.
Those 900's felt light. Took me a month to break them in, but it's worth it. I have small athletic calves, so I have to tighten them to the max.
I've used them for two months now and they are great, much like Asolo 535. A standard hiking boot that will probably live up to 15 years of hiking in any conditions.
After a few months wearing, I found them to be cold as I used them for moderate walk around. I've been using other trekking boots, but those seem to get cold inside compare to Asolo or Sportiva I previously owned.
So this is why I downgraded them one full star.
Background
Had numerous boots—Asolo 535, La Sportiva, Trango, Kayland.
