Tierra Cassin Ridge Jacket
Tierra is a Swedish manufacturer of serious mountain jackets and pants. Probably very, very hard to get a hold on in the States. But I hope someone will import them soon. You are missing something, definitely.
The jacket, Cassin Ridge, was developed after a successful expedition to K2 back in '93. It has a large hood that holds a helmet and a quite stiff plastic visir that can be removed if you wish to. You can adjust the
hood with a lot of straps to get a perfect fit. It has two large front pockets on the chest and one inner pocket. No pockets down below to get a snug and comfortable fit with your climbing equipment. It is reinforced with kevlar on the elbows down to the hands and on the shoulders. It has ventilation zippers under the arms.
A true winner for a serious climber. I strongly recommend it. The pants have full length zippers and have pockets on the knees to hold some kind of protection of your like, plus two pockets for small stuff. Reinforced with Kevlar on the knees down to the feet.
I am very satisfied and I didn't find anything like it when I visited the States this summer (I had to go home to find what I was looking for!).
