Teton Sports Tracker 5 Ultralight Mummy Sleeping Bag

This is a great, comfortable bag. I have not used it in temps down to the 5 degree rating, but have found it to be a durable, easily packed, and comfortable bag for car camping and canoe camping, in nighttime temperatures from 30-50 degrees. It has some nice features, that make it a fine sleeping bag. I highly recommend this sleeping bag.

I must disclose, I have not used this bag in its full, zipped up, mummy style mode, except for a trial. It is a very warm bag, and with our overnight camping trips taking place primarily May to October, the temperature does not get down cold enough to require that mode.

But...I love this sleeping bag! I have used it for multiple trips this season, and am very impressed with it, and have recommended it to others.

The interior is a soft material (Double-Brushed P5 Poly Hi-Count), not slippery nylon, so it is very comfortable. The exterior ( available in red or green combos) is a nice rip-stop material, which seems very durable, even when the dogs crawl upon to the bag. It is also water resistant.

The zippers can be zipped from interior or exterior, and I have had no problems with zippers catching material, or not working as expected. There is a full length zipper baffle, to reduce cold air drafts.

I really like the larger footbox...there is also added insulation near the bottom of the bag, and my feet never get cold in this bag.  The bag itself is generously sized, which makes for more comfort also (87" x 34" x 22").

There is a small interior pocket, which I do not generally use, but it is nice to have a  place to secure small items.

The hood seems generously sized as well. It is a 3-piece mummy hood, and does fit nicely around my head, without causing constriction or sleeping bag claustrophobia.

The bag compresses well, and easily, into the compression stuff sack. The compressed size is reported to be 15" x 9" x 9". It fits well into a dry bag for canoe camping, but I think that for backpacking, it would require a pack with a larger size sleeping bag compartment. The weight is listed as 4.1 lbs. 

The insulation material is PolarLite, and it is not only warm, but puffs up nicely, and evenly (without being too bulky), throughout the bag, when it is unpacked from the compression sack.

This has been a great sleeping bag, (it also has a lifetime warranty),  and I am sure it will last for many more years of camping.

Great cold weather sleeping bag. Nice compress-ability and the stuff sack is good.

I purchased this sleeping bag to replace an older 0 degree synthetic from Eureka. This bag has a similar rating at +5 but compresses way smaller than the Eureka bag.

The material of the outer shell is a nice durable ripstop nylon. The inner lining is different, it has a nice texture to it and isn't like most bags with the shiny nylon feel. There are zipper pullers inside and out to make the closing easier but the zipper itself could be a little beefier. There is an inside pocket for stashing your light/phone and the drawstring hood pulls in around the face to keep your warmth inside.

The dimensions are 87" x 34" (at widest point) supposedly to provide more shoulder and leg room. But this bag seems smaller than the Eureka which lists with the same dimensions. The bag is super warm with 7-denier woven fiber fill, shoulder and zipper baffles, and a three piece drawstring hood. It weighs 4.1 lbs. and comes with its own compression sack so it packs down nicely.  

The bag has a great lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. 

Nice for the price. Not a 5-degree bag. Long is not long.

Long is not long. At 5' 8" and chubby, I fit snugly. I can't see anyone over 6 feet fitting in the LONG bag. Zipper sticks at the top when closing; opening was easy.

Used several times in the low 20s and started feeling chilly. Not a 5-degree bag; I don't think it would be good below 20 degrees without a liner or extra clothes. Drawstring on the hood worked well; felt no air leaks along zipper. Pocket inside by chest is too small for glasses case.

All in all, nice for the price.
