Stoic Overhang Pant

Great pair of pants and a decent price. Wind-resistant and good stretch when you need it. Water resistant, too.

Pros

  • Wind resistant
  • Good stretch
  • Great pockets

Cons

  • Product description said a 'fleece lining', which it does not have.

I was looking for a good trail pant for hiking and backpacking that had some stretch and a bit of windproofness--these fully fit the bill! With a pair of Icebreaker 150 underneath you could do some serious hiking and packing in chilly weather with these.

I love the pockets—placed well and are deep enough to hold stuff. They seem to breath well despite their being wind resistant. Not an overly warm pant by itself, but as mentioned above, pairing them with some long underwear will extend their temp range quite well. Have't tried them in snow yet, but I have confidence they will work fine.

The fit is trim, but there's room for long underwear. Two snaps on the waist above the zipper.
