For use with a sea kayak, a small blade seems right if you cannot go over 5 mph. You do not need any more power. These wings give me plenty of punch to go upwind or to move in surf and I am learning to back down on easy water as not a lot of stress is needed to get to hull speed.
This wing design has no twist making it more forgiving. The length feather adjustment is great. It is fun to use different lengths on different boats in different conditions. This is my second season with this paddle and I am still happy with it.
Now I want to try a wing with more twist for my flat water boat. It is always something!
