SOG Flash II
This is a great lightweight knife and a good value. It features a 3.5 inch AUS 8 blade that comes razor sharp out of the box. The blade shape is a thin clip point that cuts very well.
Mine came in combo edge with 50 percent serrations. It also came with a TiNi (blackened) finish that should help with rust resistance. I would have gotten a plain edge instead of the combo if I could have gotten in black but SOG does not offer one.
The handle is a good shape, although it makes the knife look kind of ulgy when closed. It is one of those things you learn to love once you find out how well it functions.
Where this blade really shines is its opening. It deploys FAST (the name says it all). It only takes a little thumb pressure and the blade flies out. The lockup is solid and can be adjusted if it comes loose. The edge on the blade will not last forever, but it is easy to bring it back to a razor sharp edge.
The pocket clip is the best one I have ever seen on a knife. There is no need to worry about dropping it in the woods because it burries deep in the pocket.
Finally, it has a safety lock that prevents it from opening while engaged. I never use it but it doesn't really take anything away from the knife.
