Incredible product.

Pros

  • Price
  • Quality materials and heavy-duty construction
  • Warmth and durability

Cons

  • Heavy (not really, but at least for hiking)
  • Need to wash it in a big laundromat type of washer

I have the -30°, which it would seem they no longer make. It is a beast. I agree with the other reviewers. It's a heavy, bulky bag. No way to compress it, so it wouldn't be good for hiking.

If you are camping anywhere near where you are parked, though, and you want a bag that will keep you warm under nearly any circumstances, this is it. Considering the price, forget it. It's not a mummy, but it's a ridiculously well-constructed piece of outdoor gear.

I love it. I've never been in conditions that actually tested it. Most of the time I leave it zipped down enough so I can kick a leg out. When not camping, it can still be used at home. Just unzip it, and spread it out like a comforter. It will totally cover a queen-sized area. Even then, unless it's a seriously cold night, and your power goes out, it will probably be too warm.

Background

Very satisfied.

Source: bought it new
Price Paid: I don't remember, but nowhere near mummy bags with similar degree ratings
