Used this for basecamp warmth after hiking 7 to 9 hours in the fall Maine weather. After hiking all day relied on this to stay warm while setting up campsite and in the cool fall Maine mornings to stay warm while breaking down. Keeps you extremely warm and comfortable during these critical times.
Pros
- Sizing is great
- Provides warmth even when wet
- Feels good even when damp
Cons
- Little heavy for backcountry (worth the weight though)
This pullover fits great and is extremely comfortable after a long day of hard hiking. Provides essential warmth in the cool fall Maine weather after a great day's hiking, or in the early cold fall mornings. Even with someone, like myself, who sweats heavily it kept me warm on the cool evenings.
Temps I find this most comfortable in are 20-30° and even lower when used as a layer with a light down jacket.
The high neck easily rolls down when zippered at base, the neck is comfortable when fully zipped. The shirt is a little on the heavy side for backcountry, but well worth the weight on those cool hikes in the fall and integrates well with other lightweight layers in providing warmth.
