The Kinetic has proven a phenomenal solution to non-winter protection. Often, during summer and fall, to carry a Gore-Tex pants shell isn't convenient. When weight is of the matter, the Kinetic offers full waterproof protection with these reliable pants.
This shell isn't an over-pant. It is a full garment on its own. The construction is flawless. The quality is outstanding, on pair with all RAB products. It is both comfortable and breathable. It feels light and indeed it is.
Very convenient on long hikes where the weather may turn to rain. I wouldn't use it in the Pacific Northwest as we know that region may have relentless and pouring rain. However, it is a perfect companion in treks and hikes where rain isn't such a certainty.
I will have to wait a few treks to assess on the fabric durability. As it is soft it may be rather delicate as well. Thus far, it has performed beautifully. Sizing is accurate according to RAB's size chart.
