These soft shell pants are well constructed with many great features. They are great for both hiking and skiing.

Pros

  • Well constructed
  • Articulated knees
  • 3 Zippered pockets
  • Adjustable waist
  • Side vents
  • Adjustable hem cinch

Cons

  • There is a horizontal seam above the knee that may rub against the skin a little.

I Love Love Love these pants!!!

First of all, for a softshell pant the fabric is tough, but not too heavy and resists snags. I've slid down many steep rocks and not a bit of wear and tear. There are 3 zippered pockets with pull tabs on them — no need to take off those gloves to unzip.

The hem cinch is great to pull tightly against your boot to keep out the muck or snow.  The bottom of the pants has cordura fabric to  protect against crampon rips. They are high breathable but if you get too warm the side zips are the 'cat's meow'.

The one feature that really sold me on these pants is the waist is adjustable. There are tabs on the sides that you can pull and velcro to adjust to where you want it. There are belt loops, but not sure this is necessary — I know i won't use them.

They do have European sizing and I had to order one size up. They come in a great gray color and are quite flattering.

I was able to aquire the pants for $66 — a killer deal on sale but they can run up to $140. Worth every penny!!

All in all, a great piece of outdoor wear.
