Quest Summit II

rated 2.0 of 5 stars

I thought that I was getting a good deal on this pack. It turns out this is nothing but crap. It says it is internal frame, but that is a padded back only halfway down the pack and 2 small staves that have no rigidity. I couldn't even carry the 25 lbs. comfortably with the poor waist belt and skimpy shoulder straps. The materials make the pack look nice, but the construction is suspect.

I would recommend that everybody run the other direction if they come in contact with a Quest backpack. They are not made for any type of backpacking excursions.

I bought the pack a few months ago and had to return it because a small strap began to rip. After returning it and getting a new one I took a trip to Kenya for a month and had no more problems with it at all, even during incredible downpours my stuff kept dry. I would recommend this pack to anyone who wants a good pack for a good price.

This pack sucks. It's got an awful suspension system, about 2 mm of foam then plastic, with a big honking plasic thing to adjust the pack size. i got this at a gear swap, reading the other review i'm wondering if my pack is missing the padding. however, if it does come with a better suspention system when it's new, it'd be an awesome pack!
