Pacific Trail Storm Guide Jacket

rated 5.0 of 5 stars

Pacific Trail is no longer in business, and the Storm Guide Jacket has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best waterproof jackets for 2024.

Version reviewed: & Chimney Peak Jackets

Purchased the Storm Guide Jacket w/pit zips, back zippered vent/self storage pocket for the jacket with belt loop/attachment, hood, inside pocket. This jacket for only $80 is awesome!

Used it for an 8-day hiking trip in the Dolomites. Rained most of the time, never was wet! Breathes with the best of them. Also used for running in the winter time, again no moisture inside or out. Also, use the winter version; Chimney Peak Jacket for skiing. Again another great bargain at only $99.

This jacket took a lot of abuse from falling, moderate to heavy snow fall(natural and man made). For some reason, the general public has not really caught onto these great jackets at a great buy. Even Woody from Outside and Backpacker Magazine have given these jackets (specifically the Guide jacket 4 stars) and I agree!!!

Fabric: Nylon with hydrovent waterproof material: 80% as breathable as gortex, windproof, and waterproof.
