This is an excellent educational app on survival skills. I keep this app installed on my iPhone just in case I find myself in a situation where I don't know what to do. It is a must have for those not familiar with the outdoors or just beginning to adventure outdoors and is good for experts as well.

This app is an absolute must have if you like being in the outdoors at all. Especially if you are going to venture away from civilization because you never know what might happen. The Survival Guide app is thorough in explaining basic survival skills that can be very beneficial to someone in a life threatening situation.
I love that there are apps with this kind of information. Since I will have my iPhone with me on most any outdoor trip I go on, I will always have this information with me, without the extra bulk of a book. This app basically is a book in electronic form. It is very easy to navigate and find what section or information you are looking for.
It is even broken up into chapters starting with an introduction and the psychology of survival, then continuing with different kinds of survival techniques in each chapter. It covers everything from planning to building a shelter, water treatment to survival medicine. I love the Psychology of Survival chapter because it helps you to understand how your body and mind reacts in different situations.
Even if you are an avid outdoorsmen with years of experience, I would suggest getting this app. It never hurts to refresh your mind on different techniques that may help keep you from injury in the outdoors or may even help you survive in an emergency situation. I would suggest reading through this app BEFORE going out into the outdoors though so you're not relying on an electronic device to save you.
