First things first, I have worn this jacket everyday since it arrived. I love it! I wear it around the house, out to the washing line, putting the rubbish out. Any excuse to wear it. I really look forward to putting it on.
I did a 1/2 hr walk in heavy rain the other day and was bone dry, the hood gave me great coverage. No rain on my face, which happens with all other outdoor jackets I have worn.
The length in the arms is perfect, I can reach up and cross my arms over and it feels right. Body fit is good, good length covers hips and the important lower bits. The profile is sleek and not baggy... This adds to the appeal for me, I don't like bulky clothing. Easily can put a backpack on with no bulk under.
The chest pockets are great. I like the zippers and the way they operate. They feel strong and smooth.
The fabric and stitching is fantastic — strong and well constructed. I did a walk with the boys on Tuesday, up Soldiers Memorial on the peninsula. The fabric was heavy enough to keep the wind out and I didn't overheat when the sun came out (other jackets I would have got a real sweat on). So it breathes well.
Style: I feel good wearing it. Even better when going into outdoor clothing shops. I'm proud to be wearing a unique hand made jacket. No plastic brand names.
