Fillo's Walking Tamales

What a great meal for hiking or camping! These taste just like tamales out of the package and are even better if warmed. Just squeeze up from the bottom and eat! Didn't matter to me, but they are VEGAN, as well. And easily found at Walmart.

A vegan friend of mine told us about these. Not being vegan, I was skeptical at first. But, went to Walmart and they had 3 flavors: Bean Salsa Habanero (spicy, but not too spicy), Bean Salsa Verde (bit of green chile spice) and my favorite Bean Salsa Roja (enough spice to make it interesting, but not too spicy). Tried these and were so excited about how accessible, tasty, filling, cheap and low trash they were! They're always in our pack now! A couple of times we left them in the sun unopened for a while and they tasted like we'd cooked them! But they are still awesome just out of the push-up package. And, available as single pieces, so no need to buy a package full.
