I got this tent after a far more expensive tent got ripped in a windstorm the first time out. I was looking for a tent that could be easily replaced or adapted if this happened again.

This tent is perfect! The base of the tent is all mosquito netting, so no worries about bugs. A rainfly covers the netting and allows room for gear, such as a pack or boots, just outside the front while still under cover. The best part? If the rainfly ever rips. it can be easily (and cheaply) replaced with a tarp!

This tent is very easy to set up with compact poles which are easily stowed in a strap on a backpack. The tent pitches tautly and, although it looks small, there is plenty of room inside to sit up and relax as well. The make of the rainfly allows you to permit breezes through or block wind by placing your stakes as needed.

I have camped with this tent in a variety of places and in weather which was mild, rainy, hot, humid, and chilly (around 25 degrees). I always felt adequately protected and the tent was stable during all weather.

The floor of the tent is nice and thick with a ridge of plastic which comes up to prevent water from coming in even though the rest of it is netting for as much ventilation as you like. Although the tent comes with a bag (of course), I pack it in a waterproof compression sack and it is nice and tiny.

Although I was skeptical at first, this has become my go-to tent and I never leave home without it. There is no need to because it packs up so small and is perfect for most weather here in Ohio and in the places I have used it (VA, PA, GA, MD, WV). If you are also looking for a go-to tent that is affordable, easy to set up, easy to pack, and packs a ton of features into a solo tent, definitely look at this one!
