OOFOS OOlala Sandal

photo: OOFOS OOlala Sandal flip-flop

These are the most comfortable shoes I own. I wear them every chance I get, even now that the rainy season has started in Portland. I was worried that they wouldn't hold up since they're essentially foam, but they still look brand-new after months of hiking through rocks and water, on pavement, and in the desert.

Pros

  • Super comfortable
  • Hold up very well
  • I have the white, which looks stylish

Cons

  • They're flip-flops, so limited in use (not meant to wear in snow, for example)
  • No kid sizes

The other day I was having some leg/foot pain from a pair of "barefoot" shoes I'd been trying out and remembered that OOFOS are sometimes called "recovery" shoes, so I put these on even though it was pouring rain. My foot and all the way up on my painful side immediately felt better and continued to get better the whole time I wore them.

For sizing, their website says for women to up one size if you're in-between. I normally wear an 9.5, so went with a 10. When I first tried them on they felt small and my heel was right at the back. I even went to the store to try an 11 by comparison. But after wearing the 10s for a day or two around the house they now fit perfectly.

Oh, and they don't stink! Overall these are amazing and I already ordered another pair in a different style to try out.IMG_8171.jpg
