Mountain Hardwear Vertex Jacket

This is a great jacket, extremely light and windproof due to the Gore Windstopper laminate. I traded the Marmot Gravity Jacket for this one, and the only regret is the warmth factor. It's not as warm as the Gravity Jacket, but quite a bit lighter. Both are great jackets. I also wish it had an outer chest pocket. The two hand pockets have waterproof zippers which is a plus. The pockets are a mesh type fabric, which cuts down the weight, but I BELIEVE will not last as long as regular pockets.

This is an older model but for the price and all the options it was a no brainer. It fits my longer arms great and fits nicely with a harness on. I haven't tried it in a downpour but has keep me dry and warm with light showers and snow. I've climbed in it and it streches well and has been durable. It breathes better than anything I've tried. I wear this jacket as a technical jacket or just bumming around town. MH really hit the mark with this one.

So far I have been very impressed with this jacket. It is incredibly warm for its weight. Mountain Hardwear says it is water resistant and I have no complaints. Of course the Gore WindStopper is incredible. My only complaint is that it has no pitzips, which would increase the versatility. Overall a great jacket.
