Fit is perfect. Like it was made for me. Sleeve are long enough....not too short. Love the thumb holes. Torso length is perfect, not too short, plenty long. No bagginess under the arm pits, layers perfectly under a rain shell. Hood is roomy, and is double layered. With this being a 400 wt piece, it is really nice as a mid-layer.

Oh, the best thing is, is that it is SOFT, SOFT, SOFT!!!!! Like all of the Minus 33 products.

Pros

  • Great fit
  • Quality construction
  • Super soft
  • NO itchiness

Cons

  • Not UL
  • Not cheap

Fit and Comfort are a 10 out of 10. My go-to midlayer for the winter months. Love hoodies, now I don't have to wear cotton.

Toasty warm, but wear a shell over it in breezy conditions.

Roomy, dual-ply hood.

Amazing mid-layer.

Pros

  • WARMTH

Cons

  • Cuffs fraying after one winter

I had been searching for this for a long time, and when I found it online I bought it without hesitation.

I ordered an XL for length- I'm tall and skinny (6' 4" 150) and then spent $30 on top of the $160 to get it tailored to my marfanesque frame. I would do it again.

It's great on cool days on its own, but where it really shines is as a mid-layer under a decent shell in the cold. It feels like it creates its own heat. I've never worn anything like it. I suppose you would expect nothing less from 2 pounds of merino wool in the form of a hooded sweatshirt.

I live in Duluth, MN. I bought it this past autumn. I have worn it every day since then (writing this in May). It is my second skin for cold/cool weather. I've used it for several winter camping excursions as a mid-layer and also in the sleeping bag.

The only problem so far is that the cuffs are starting to fray pretty badly.

I am in love with this hoody. I have never owned any single piece of clothing that has kept me warm the way it does. If Minus33 starts making it in tall sizes, I'll want to have their babies.
