photo: Merrell Chameleon 4 Stretch trail shoe

Great summer lightweight trail walker or traveler shoe.

Pros

  • Breathe very well
  • Comfortable
  • Great traction
  • Looks great
  • Very versatile
  • Vibram sole

Cons

  • A bit pricey

Great summer lightweight trail walker or traveler shoe. I have owned many generations of this shoe and the 4th is just as good. All have been very durable.

The Chameleon Stretch 4 breathes extremely well yet still offers enough support for most non-backpacking chores. The Stretch 4 flexes more than the first Chameleons that were like walking on a board with no flex. Great traction and durability with a genuine Vibram sole.

These are perfectly broke in right out of the box and extremely comfortable as a every day shoe. If you spend all day on your feet, these might be what you are looking for.

I love the color in Castle Rock blue/grey. Looks great with jeans or cargo shorts. These make a great do-it-all shoe for traveling or vacation shoe where you need a "Jack of all trade" shoe.
