Meindl Bergell MFS Hiker

I love the Vibram sole and rubber above the sole for extra waterproofing. A very high quality product at a fair price. IMHO
Pros
- Well made with few exposed threads on the outside that save them from prairie grass.
- Quality Vibram sole and speed lacing
Cons
- Does not have the cork footbed the Cabela’s Meindl Hikers have as they are ultra comfortable as they mold to your foot.

I have had them for about 4 months and hiked in Lowa in the snow in 0°F weather and my feet never did get cold even though they’re uninsulated boots. I like the Vibram sole and rubber above the sole, and waterproofing has been 100% so far.
Longest day hike so far is 6 miles recovering from a knee injury and my feet felt great no soreness or blisters. I do go through prairie grass here in Iowa and with little exposed thread they hold up excellent. Just FYI I have had several other brands come apart in less that 9 days from prairie grass and I’m talking about $200-300 boots.

Background
I have used Danner, Cabela’s, Rocky, Browning, Redwing.
