Great Bag! --
It is my first sleeping bag of this kind, so I don't have much to compare it to, but it meets all of my needs. I'm about 5'2" and about 115 lbs and have tons of room length-wise and width-wise. I am a side sleeper and mildly claustrophobic, and I am very comfortable in this bag. I have plenty room for extra clothes, luxuries (a book/magazine, deck of cards), my headlamp, etc.
We backpacked/camped twice this Fall in "Winter" weather (3-season tent). Both times it was in the low to upper 20s with freezing rain, and I was plenty warm--almost too warm. I am a warm sleeper, so that has had a lot to do with my experience and expectation. As a side note, my husband has the Men's Flathead 20, as well, and had a similar experience with regard to temperature (he is not a warm sleeper). I have not sensed any cold spots.
This bag has a two-way zipper, which is nice for extra ventilation around the feet. That was important to me when shopping for a bag for the reasons I stated above. I am right handed and my bag has a left side zipper, which works just fine for me. The drawstring around the face is nice, but I have not needed it yet. The bag packs down easily and fluffs up nicely and evenly.
The only reason I did not give 5 full stars is that the zipper can very easily get caught in the surrounding material. With that said, the bag is made from good quality material, which seems like it should withstand this particular issue.
