firstly, if any of you have not used/seen/heard of Macpac outdoor equipment look 'em up. These guys make useful tough jackets, tents, packs anything i guess. it is made in new zealand, so don't worry about the quality and they are dedicated to charging in the outdoors.
the prophet is a top-end all the shit alpine jacket for the sharp end of the rope. the Gore-tex Grid combined with Kevlar on abrasive areas cuts wear, articulated elbows make for little fuss when swinging your axe. innovative ventilation and a roomy hood add to the comfort.
primo jacket, once you go macpac you'll never look back.

This jacket is kick-ass, I use it for mostly backcountry skiing and ice climbing. The kevlar hot spots work extremely well and the quality of the jacket is great

The best jacket have used for any outdoor pursuit, strech in all the right places and just a hard wearing good jacket.
