Its very comfortable.
Critique
1) The top compartment will not accomodate a standard OS map.
Suggestion: An expandable compartment. An inward fold on either side (left and right) with a small cinch down for each. The top compartment remains the same size as original design unless the folds are released to accommodate a map. Either this method or a wider bottom tin the top compartment, (tapered). it would only require about 2 inches total expansion. It sucks to have to open the main compartment to stow a map.
2) The section material should be slightly heavier with a thicker internal waterproofing.
Either of these two modifications would not add enough additional weight to cause concern.
Overall Lowe Alpine is superb and generally surpasses its competitors. Its two strong points in my opinion are clothing and packs.
Please pass this on through proper channels.
Thank you
Pete
