Kelty Pagoda 6
The Pagoda 6 has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best three-season tents for 2024.
I began camping with my family using a $99 Coleman tent with terrible results. A gust of wind would knock the walls down into your face while you slept.
The Pagoda is an entirely different experience. I have had the tent in high winds and downpours and it holds strong and dry. It sets up easily with two people, but is a struggle for one person (at least for me). So far I have had no issue with condensation as the tent ventilates well.
I have had this tent for roughly 4 years and have taken it out 15-20 times. The tent has held up well to the abuse with no signs of leaking, tearing or fading.
I would recommend this tent to anyone looking for a good family car camping tent.

I bought this tent becausse I needed a home for five weeks. I was a little worried as I was camping in the high desert (below freezing at night, hot in the day, and 40-50mph winds). I have to say this tent handled it all beautifully. The nicest feature is the 6'5" interior height. It's not a backpacking tent, it's literally a travelling "pagoda." Thank you, Kelty.

Tent functioned fine during first setup, stayed dry and well vented. Second time out, one pole collapsed rendering outing useless. Rainfly seam along tie down ripped irreparably on fourth outing along with zipper stops coming off vestibule door.
Stay away from Kelty, I have a 3 man Eureka purchased in 1987 that still functions perfectly, shame on me for buying Kelty.

Ease of Setup: not easy in moderate to high winds
