Kelty Green River 6 Footprint

My wife and I purchased a Green River 6 along with the footprint this summer. When we tried to setup the tent, the footprint wouldn't allow the tent to fully extend.

Upon contacting customer service at Kelty to verify the dimensions, we were told that they didn't have that information but that the footprint should be smaller than the tent. After trying to explain that the footprint was about 3 foot short instead of 8-12 inches we were informed to return it to the store we purchased it from.

When I received the second footprint and opened the package to measure it, again it was about 3 foot short. This time customer service informed me that they didn't have the dimensions (96" x 146" according to the footprint package, while ours measured 113" both times) and that I should return it and have the retailer custom make a footprint to the size I needed.

When I asserted that this was the most ridiculous thing I had heard, I mean it's a Kelty footprint for a Kelty tent, I was told their manufacturer makes them small. What?

Not once could I get an answer on why their product doesn't fit or match the description on their label.

In the end I returned both the footprint and the tent and will not purchase any Kelty products in the future. I find this very unfortunate since all the research we did prior to purchasing indicated that Kelty and their customer service were high quality and easy to work with.
