This is more of a warranty issue with the pair that I bought.
I've used the Durands on a handful of hikes and trout fishing. They performed admirably. There's generous room in the toe box, which, due to Keen's design, is very helpful in preventing toe bang when descending steep trails.
My issue occurred after a couple of months of owning the shoes when stitching started to unravel on the right shoe near the toe.
I sent the photo to Keen and started a claim. It took about ten days but then I was contacted by customer service. They authorized me to order a new pair of Durands at their expense.
I just wanted to state that Keen's customer service was excellent and I would buy from them again, which I recently did with a pair of Newport H2 sandals. I originally thought they would just have me send in the shoe for repair, but I am pleased with the decision that they made. The pair with the defect was originally purchased through Amazon.
