I've had a Hillary tent for 20 (twenty !!) years and I can tell it's a wonderful tent. I live in the Republic of Panama where, believe me, when it rains it RAINS. I used it this past weekend after many years. I was worried that after all this time without care it would take some water. Although it rained little, I was the only one (out of four tents) who woke up dry. I'm so proud of my Hillary that I'm trying to find some product to give it some care.
I bought a Hillary tent from Sears about four years ago. The tent was nice, and kept us dry very well, but I have to buy a new tent as the zippers kept catching on the seams. The door zipper got so messed up that we had to pin it shut and use the small side locker entrance. Funny thing is I think I am going to purchase another Hillary tent, hoping that the technology has improved on the zipper front.
