Gerber Paraframe I
This folder has been a go-to knife in my "sharps box." It has been great for every day carry and has stood up to some rough use on weekend packing trips.
Pros
- Quality
- Durability
- Good edge retention
The frame fits my hand well. Since I use the knife for all types of chores and "recreational whittling," I don't care for the pocket clip. At times I will remove the clip and carry it in my pocket or in a custom leather neck sheath.
The blade shape is ideal for camp chores, food prep, etc. And, as with most Gerber product, it holds an edge and is easily resharpened in the field.

Great sturdy EDC knife that will perform season after season.
Pros
- Lightweight
- Great pocketclip
- Dual thumbstuds
Cons
- None so far :)
This is a great camping and EDC knife. I have used both the Paraframe I and the Paraframe I Ti Gray. Both performed amazingly. The Ti gray's handles are flat not rounded like the regular Para I. The thumbstuds making opening a breeze and the framelock holds the blade locked in place.
This is a great knife that is very budget conscious ($20) and even sold at Walmart. Great EDC knife!

I have had my paraframe for 3 years now. I have not had any issues with any Gerber product breaking, including this one. It opens and closes like day one.
If I don't feel the need to carry a multi-tool, but still feel the need to have a knife, I take this one.
Do you like being disappointed? If so, then buy this P.O.S. I carried this thing for about a week and the screw fell out of the pivot pin while it was clipped to my pocket. I promptly threw it in the trash, where it belonged.
