Having owned a couple of Therm-a-rests (still got them) I was no stranger to self-inflating mats when I bought these. I set out to find an alternative to the Aussie Disposals style 4wd self inflating mats that are about 5'8" wide and 10cm thick, roll to the size of a small log, don't fit in their bag, and are a nuisance to pack in the 4wd generally ending up on the roof where they are easily damaged. They also need to be rolled twice to get to a reasonable size.

I FOUND IT!!! The Exped SIM Light 10 DLX is fantastic. We bought two to join using the fixed velcro strip down the sides of the matt. Joining is a snap. No joining kit, tapes or loops required. The two valves make for speedy inflation - once you get used to the fact they aren't a screw tap in the Therm-a-rest fashion. (Make sure you learn the difference, they seal properly when used properly.)

Top up is achieved by closing one, adding a puff or 5 to get to the desired comfort level and closing the second valve.

They are fantastic to sleep on. As a double there's a small centre gap but nothing you'll get lost in. The cover is good, they come with bags and a repair kit. The seams around the outside are nice and wide and look well bonded. The velcro is stitched to the outer edge of those.

At over AUD100 less than the equivalent Therm-a-rest these are a great product of equal to the original. You won't regret sleeping on one of these.

Just a very happy customer. No affiliation with anyone involved in selling or manufacture.
