ExOfficio Give-N-Go Lacy Bikini

photo: ExOfficio Give-N-Go Lacy Bikini boxer/brief/bikini

This underwear is great for hiking, backpacking, travel, and everyday use. The material is soft, it wicks moisture and has a comfortable fit.

Pros

  • Breathable
  • Lightweight
  • Dries quickly
  • Odor control

It's hard to find women's underwear that stays comfortable through miles of backpacking, but the ExOfficio Give-N-Go Lacy Bikini brief does just that. The nylon/spandex blend has four-way stretch that provides good coverage without bunching up or chafing and feels soft to touch.

The flat lacy band provides a feminine touch to a technical product, which is welcome under all those layers of unisex backpacking clothing. Best of all, the underwear is treated with Aegis Microbe Shield that resists odors.

I’ve put Give-N-Go underwear to the test over the last several years, wearing the bikini model for over 200 miles of backpacking and many more miles of sweaty Southeast Asian tourist travel and they’ve never let me down. I’ve tried the low rise bikini and while it fits, it provides barely adequate coverage so the regular bikini style works better for my lifestyle and body shape.

I can rinse them out every night and they’ll be dry by morning. They never bind or chafe and the lacy accent brings a smile to my face. They do a good job with odor control and the fabric wicks moisture away from my skin.

On warm, humid nights I’ve found the Give-N-Go fabric to be great to sleep in for both the underwear and tank top as it is so breathable. The fabric doesn’t stretch out over time and it maintains its shape through multiple wash cycles. The fabric does not pill even where my pack rubs against it.

I only wish that ExOfficio would use the Give-N-Go fabric in more styles, but they only use it for underwear and tank tops for women. Though I received my first sample from the company I keep an eye on their website for the 50% off sales to purchase additional pairs.

ExOfficio Give-N-Go undergarments, especially the bikini briefs, are my go-to underwear for active pursuits and tourist travel.
