Eddie Bauer 10-Person Four Room
We camped five times this summer with this tent. It replaced our six person dome tent as we required a larger tent that would fit two adults and three school aged children and most of our gear. This tent is large and will comfortably sleep about eight with room for some gear. There is NO WAY you can repack the tent into the designer "Eddie Bauer" duffle. Just go out and buy a separate stuff sack for the tent itself and put the fly, poles, ground sheet etc. into the EB duffle.
Quality of the fit and finish is great! Nice details like zipper flaps and sky light. The tent looks great when it's set up and the set up is a breeze! Don't be worried, just make sure you stake the tent prior to setting up the poles. As for the steel stakes, awesome! My camping friends actually "borrowed" some of mine as they were the only ones strong enought to hammer into the hard ground.
As for rain, I sealed all of the seams, it took three 8 oz. bottles! BUT, because the fly doesn't extend fully to the ground over the side and rear "rooms," the tent leaked. It rained on two trips this summer and on the first trip we were left with a very wet area in the three rooms. I quickly solved the problem by stringing a large 24'x 18' tarp over the tent to protect it from the rain. Using the tarp solved our problem. Wenzel, the manufacturer should reconsider the design and have optional fly extensions for the side rooms. So, if you camp in wet weather, be sure to purchase a large tarp and plenty of rope.
If you camp in clear weather, don't tarp the tent as the kids had a great time looking out the sky windows at the stars and the full moon!
My overall impression, an awesome tent and a great buy. If you car camp and need lots of room, this is your tent.

My high hopes for this tent were crushed ...
First off, the rain fly (color: red) did not match the tent (navy blue and tan) AT ALL ...
My uncle, my mother, and I set it up in about 15 minutes (not too bad)...
The tent was smaller than we thought it would be, and the room dividers were see through, cheesy, and did not even fully divide the rooms ... Also, this tent should be called a three-room tent for the back-most room could only fit a smaller adult or a child ...
RAIN REPORT -- HORRIBLE!
The three of us slept in the BRAND-NEW tent AFTER seam seeling it with Coleman ProTech Water Repellent ... Thank god we used air mattresses or we would have been soaked! There were puddles all over the floor - NOT DROPS BUT PUDDLES! - After drying the tent up with towels, we packed it up and returned it to Target -
PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID --- DO NOT BUY THIS TENT UNTIL EDDIE BAUER MAKES IT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!

I was in the market for a high capacity tent and found this one at a local Target store. I purchased the tent before reading the reviews. After reading the reviews, I figured, no big deal, I plan on camping in the dry season anyway.
The first time I pitched the tent was in the back yard for practice. It was very easy to pitch and take down, I was impressed.
However, this past weekend I pitched it for the kids to use for a backyard sleep over. as I pitched it, one of the aluminum sleeves that the fiberglass rods insert into broke and required me to duct tape it.
Then when my children attempted to install the "Room Dividers", the tent tore at the seam. Not a big tear, but a tear none the less.
Well, I am in the market for a new tent again. Unfortunately, I do not think Eddie Bauer will be my next one.
Sleeps: 6+
Ease of Setup: Very Easy
Price Paid: Circa $300
This tent does look great set up and it is certainly large enough for our king size and queen size air mattresses; however all that being said it is not what it is cracked up to be. The zippers constantly come undone and that is pretty tough to take in inclement or dark weather...or even just the middle of the night.
We camped in it just on two weekends and now need to purchase another tent.
Very disappointed in their customer service. Certainly not as helpful as they could be and you have to pay to ship back the 41lb pack weight tent, which will cost an arm and a leg....
Don't buy this tent!!
Sleeps: 6+
Ease of Setup: easy

HORRIBLE TENT!!! Leaks EVERYWHERE...We even used rain repellant and seam sealer. It was like sleeping under nothing at all, just sleeping on the ground without coverage. Not as big as it appears to say either. Not really a four room tent, just three. The dividers are see through and do not cover the entire length. WASTE OF MONEY!! DO NOT BUY THIS TENT!!!

Ease of Setup: EASY TO MODERATE

Once we got the tent up, which was very easy and quick, we thought we had it made. . . . until Mother Nature did her thing. We were wet, wet, wet. And the rain was a simple rain, no thunder showers. NOT HAPPY WITH THE WET. If we knew that the weather would always be sunny, we'd keep the tent!

I love the room, the features, and it has been just fine in all kinds of weather every time. Sometimes you have to prep a tent for rain by sealing the seams ppl not a lot of money so make it work, I love my tent.

Horrible tent. Doesn't sleep 10 people. Really not a four room tent. Leaks everywhere!!! Even after seam sealing and spraying water repellent over the whole tent. DO NOT BUY THIS TENT!!!
