DutchWare was founded in 2003 by Thom "Dutch" Ressler, who focused the company on designing and manufacturing minimalist gear, especially hammocks and accessories. In 2020, DutchWare acquired Clark Outdoors and took over manufacture and sales of the Clark line of hammocks.
