Diamond Brand Gear Free Spirit II
I purchased this particuliar tent to handle my camping trips year around at various State Parks in my area. It's not a bad tent. It is very simple and basic to say the least, but extremely functional.
I used the tent even for my winter camping trips at West Branch State Park. The tent performed fairly well. I added guylines to handle the the hard winter winds Ohio is known for. The tent has proven to be sturdy.
Diamond Brand rated this tent as a four season tent, but I would consisder it a 31/2 season tent, due to some features lacking on the Free Spirit that true four season tents have. Nonetheless, the tent performed just fine for all my needs.
The Free Spirit is very waterproof and could handle any downpour with ease. No leaks!
Though rated as a two-person tent, I find it a little on the cramped side with two people. Since it's an A-Frame, it has slanting walls which really do cut down on the usable "people space".
But all in all, it is a simple, fairly inexpensive tent that can handle even mild four season use.
