You have to love a sweater with masculine in the name. This Dale of Norway Bykle Masculine Sweater puts together traditional Norwegian styling and Merino wool in a beautifully crafted sweater. The superfine 16.5 micron Merino wool used throughout provides for a super smooth feel will providing excellent insulation against the cold.

The collarless 4 button sweater can be worn as a base layer or alone. The sleeves feature a traditional Setesdal pattern in off-white to give the sweater that perfect old school Norwegian look. Breathability and the moisture wicking properties of Merino wool are always appreciated.

I was fortunate enough to receive a smoke colored Bykle sweater for testing in early January and it's been hard not to wear it daily. I am very sensitive to wool, so initially, I was a bit concerned when the sweater arrived. A medium size fit my frame perfectly and once I put on this butter smooth sweater any itch fears were gone immediately. On a recent trip to the frozen north of Canada, I wore the Bykle sweater while traveling, around town and on the ski hill. It performed equally well in all those activities.

As an everyday garment, this sweater is both stylish and incredibly comfortable. It proved to be just the right weight to be comfortable out to dinner or under a coat while taking a walk. On the ski hill, I couldn't beat having a Merino wool layer as a first layer to keep me warm and toasty. The ability of the wool to not absorb odors allows me to wear the sweater multiple times between washings. Being machine washable is always a bonus in my book. After dozens of washings, the sweater still looks like new. Just don't toss it into the dryer, just dry flat on a towel.

For winter warmth and some old school styling, you can't go wrong with the Bykle Masculine sweater. Gotta love that name.
