Columbia Bugaboot Plus II Omni-Heat
Just awesome!
Pros
- WARM
- Waterproof
- Wind proof
- Lightweight
- Flexible
Cons
- Big inside
These are just awesome. Super lightweight! Feels like I have a pair of those stupid boat shoes on, as far as weight goes. They lace up high, and keep your foot and ankle secure and braced well.
They also grip very well, but do not have a rigid sole.
I have taken these out countless times snowshoeing, hiking, working, you name it. I had these on while summitting, with windchill it was -35 degrees F, but my feet were dry and warm.
They are not super insulated, but are lined with a reflective material that does a great job at reflecting the heat. This will make your feet sweat, even when cold, and does not breath so make sure to change your socks so they don't become saturated.
They are very spacious inside, probably so that you can vary the amount of insulation that is inside, which I love. It allows you to taylor your system to what you're up against.
Also, you can go the miles in this boot without it tearing apart your feet, very comfortable.
P.S. 4.5 stars because I never give 5 stars to anything unless it was crafted by a 1000 year old hermit master on a mountain and has mythical super powers enchanted onto it. Nothing is perfect.
