Clark Flex-180

rated 4.5 of 5 stars

Clark is no longer in business, and the Flex-180 has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best hammocks for 2024.

The Flex 180 is the best solution yet for a two-person, light, 3-season hammock. Extremely comfortable for both, yet allows each room to move. Just wish it had the underneath pockets of the NX 150/250 for colder weather; and had the full around zippers for the bug screen and weather shield.

Pros

  • Lightweight
  • Easily packable
  • Extremely comfortable
  • Easy setup

Cons

  • Miss the pockets of the NX series
  • Needs full zippers to allow access from either side

The lack of the full around zippers is the biggest drawback, causing the back sleeper to have to cross over to get out.

I replaced the stock suspension with my own system (as I did on my NX-150) of straps and cinch buckles to speed setup and allow easier adjustment. Also eliminates need for drip rings.  End weight of entire setup, including poles and tarp, is 52 oz.

Clark products are amazingly well built, and my NX 150 has held up to many years of tough use; so I anticipate nothing less with my new Flex 180.
