Camp Trails White Lake
Camp Trails is no longer in business, and the White Lake has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best three-season tents for 2024.
I don't know if Camp Trails still sells this model, but if you see one and are interested, here's a review. This is a well designed and well made 2 person tent for a great price. It is heavier than many 2 person tents out there, partly due to its fiberglass poles instead of aluminum. It has plenty of room for 2 people plus personal gear, a full coverage fly, ample windows, very easy set up that one person can handle, and pretty darn storm worthy.
Once I seam sealed the fly at home it hasn't leaked from above at all. Water will seep through the floor if you let it puddle under the tent, but if there is a puddle under the tent you haven't done a good job of setting up your site or have your ground cloth sticking out. It handles wind storms fairly well, and I once even had it out in a freak snow storm (it shed the snow great).
The vestibule can accomodate 2 empty packs. I've even had a large dog squeeze under it a few times during rain. After 5 years of frequent use it is still in good shape. It doesn't have all the high-end features of an expensive tent, but it is a good basic tent that is easily carried by 2 people.
