Cabela's XPD Deluxe Tent
I recently purchased this tent due to the fact all of my camping gear is stored at my mother's house in Akron, Ohio, and here I am in the Des Moines area with no gear.
Needless to say, I am spending my last three weeks in this area in my tent at Walnut Woods State Park on the Racoon River. The weather started out sunny and pleasant the Friday I pitched my tent but come last night (shortly after I arrived back at camp) it started to rain with some snow in the mix. Not unusual for this time of year here in central Iowa. This tent is holding up just fine. No leaks, sturdy in the wind. The tent appears to be well constructed. As with all of the clothing, hiking boots and gear I purchased from Cabela's over the years, I trust this tent will shew the same durability.
I should note the tent came with a set of nice DAC poles that break down into nice, short sections. Ideal for a backpacking tent. I look forward to taking it on my future hikes into the forest on one of my favorite trails.
So far: overall good tent. I would recommend it. :)
