Took these boots last year on 500 Miles of the Camino de santiago. Really enjoyed the boots on the 2-3 hour walks in preperation.
On the Camino the day-in day-out 20-30 km a day with a backpack which started at around 13kg and droped to 8 kg really tested the boots and me!! Wearing Bridgedale socks didn't help and the heat and goretex made these boots quite warm. Changing to Coolmax socks helped greatly. Had bad blisters and tendonitis for a few weeks.
Boots definitely not happy on paved roads--worst blisters on stretch of concrete path and also rough going.
Happy to keep for short weekend hikes now. They are great on
short walks but avoid paved roads !!
