Great Canadian winter boot for those that live outside.

Pros

  • Warm arctic boot
  • Long lasting
  • Excellent grip
  • Comfortable

Cons

  • Very large boot

Great winter boot. I have had these for a couple of years now. Use them about 120 days a winter. The liner is showing no signs of wear yet it feels so soft. Air being that great insulator. Though they say they are rated for something like -70° ?? I have had them in -40° for hours and my toes were cool not cold. With that said as soon as you go indoors your feet will sweat.

Now these are really big boots and that is probably why they work so well. Example with my normal TNF winter boots  (center pic #1) I have to wear a size large gaiter or a size large cleat. With the Baffin Evolution I need an extra extra large gaiter to fit around the calf or an extra large cleat Some snowshoe bindings are too small for the toe piece.

Again these are truly great Canadian winter arctic boots. Durable, warm, comfortable, easy to put on and off, and somewhat waterproof (there is lots of leather that will need to be treated). As I begin my third season they are showing no signed of wear (I half expected the liner to wear or to pack out)—extra star. Though it’s not their fault it loses a star because of the extra gear needed because of there size.

The fit is good with good ankle support for wandering around the mountains.
