This hose kit converts your Nalgene bottle into a hydration system. Simple and effective. Comes with a bit valve and insulated hose. I have used this system for backpacking and mountaineering. For winter trips, I cut a small slot in the top of an Outdoor Research Bottle Parka to keep the bottle from freezing. In cold weather you should blow any water back through the hose to keep it from freezing.
My only complaint, which was resolved with a little SuperGlue, was that the small lid in the center is hard to keep tight. I doubt I would ever use the system with a standard waterbottle (soda type).
I have used this system extensively and would recommend it highly!
