Adidas Tangent ATS
Superb trail running shoe, fantastic grip (but found it tough going for cross country on soft/muddy course). They seem a little narrow to me as I do have wide-ish feet, and I did get 1 small blister when I didn't use body glide on my toes (even though i was wearing anti-blister socks).
Despite this they certainly do the job that I purchased them for, and I would probably buy similar when I eventually wear these out.
Use: 5-6 miles trial races
Break-in Period: i just did 2miles before race use but 1x blister
These shoes are great! The GCS gives a lot of cushion and spring. I do not feel any hard rocks thanks to the hard shank. The mesh tops allow my feet to stay cool and dry. the traction on these shoes are second to none. The heel does not slip and the toe box has plenty of room. I looked at a lot of shoes before I picked these up and I could not be more pleased.
Break-in Period: none
I am solid and 'heavy' and these babies haven't failed me in over a year's use. I run between 5k and 15k. I strategically placed a few tiny screws into the sole lugs where wear first appeared. Really helped in winter runs, even on inclines. Nerry a blister or sore arch. Just terrif.
(I bought these at Mountain Equipment COOP in Montreal)
Use: winter, wet trails, steep hillsides- cut trails, cinder cycle trails
Price Paid: 80 CDN
