Adidas adizero Hagio

photo: Adidas adizero Hagio barefoot / minimal shoe

Lightweight shoe great for those who have minimalist purposes in mind. Also can be used for trail running, though only recommended for flat or smoother surfaces (compact dirt).

Pros

  • Lightweight
  • Breathable mesh/fabric

Cons

  • Regular to high arches only
  • Platform not wide/stable

I've had these shoes for six months and I'm very satisfied. I use mine to work out in the gym, everyday wear, as well as light trail running. As mentioned in the description, I'd recommend this for running on more flat or smooth surfaces such as compact dirt. The sole does not lend itself well to rocky surfaces.

On that same note, I took a profile picture of the shoe. You can see how the sole fits on the bottom, not exactly wider or all encompassing as other shoes such as real trail runners.

This runs narrower. As such these aren't shoes for those who may run the risk of rolling their ankle. When I'm doing squats in these shoes I take a wider stance because of this narrow bottom. Nevertheless, it hasn't affected anything else I do in these.

The breathability is fantastic. The first time I wore them I realized how my other pair just were not up to par. Not water resistance as a result though.

While I have included more cons than pros in this description, it is only as a heads up to people looking for advice. These run more narrow than average. Even so, I'd highly recommend these shoes!
