Help with Dick's Creek Gap / Blood Mountain in GA

Some friends and I camped on Dick's Creek a year ago and I really enjoyed it and want to go back. It had a lot of primitive sites and don't remember any facilities at all. I don't think there was an office or anything at the entrance of the access road either. One of the guys I was with set up the trip and I have lost contact with him. I wanted to know if anyone knows who I contact for reservations or access to the trail or sites. I am pretty sure it is part of the AT or is an access point.

Thanks

Right. There are only "primitive sites", and picnic tables, no facilities. However, 3.5 miles toward Hiawassee there is Cloud 9 Hiker Hostel 706-896-8959

Anyone know how to contact that area at Dick's Creek Gap to make reservations?

It's been a while since I've been in that area of Dicks Creek but are you sure there's reservations? I'm pretty sure it's first come first serve and can't think of any areas here in N GA that require reservations for campsites.

Anyting on Blood Mountain is 1st come 1st served, bring your water. The area at Slaughter Gap on the side oppostite of Neels Gap has been rearranged due to the heavy impact from the large camp area it became so it may not be what you remember depending on when you were there (if you ever got to Slaughter in the 1st place.)

There is a parking fee that can bring a pretty steep fine if you ignore it.
