North-east Florida trails

I have not lived in Florida all that long. When I go on an overnight trip, I usaly end up going to Georgia or North Carolina. I would realy like to explore Florida some more but I don't know where the good hiking is. I'm looking to go on a trip over Easter weekend. Does anybody know a good spot for a two-three day hike within 150 miles of Jacksonville?

Thanks Ed. I just checked out the Cumberland website, it looks like fun.

Keep the suggestions coming

I still vote for cumberland. You have a greater diversity of camping areas than other places in Florida which are mostly scrub brush and not much to look at.

You can camp right on the river and walk to the ocean in the same evening.

Re: North-east Florida trails

reservations are required to get on Cumberland.

Don't even consider the Ocala National Forest. Not a very nice place to backpack and hike.

It's okay if your taking the family car camping and to go canoeing.

The rednecks will keep you up at night hootin' and hollerin'.
